La Parva, which has historically been in the shadow of the nearby Valle Nevado, has some of the most easily accessed, high quality off-piste terrain in Chile, and some great, long, high-speed runs on-piste. While La Parva does not hold its snow as long as Valle Nevado because of its western aspects, the terrain is generally far superior. La Parva also tends to receive a lot less people, so sometimes when it’s crowded at Valle Nevado, La Parva is a good alternative.

Steep cliff bands at the crest of the mountain offer some amazing features, including rock-walled couloirs, steep, technical lines, and wide open bowls. Because these areas require a short hike or traverse to access, the terrain remains completely untouched…and waiting for you! Test your meddle in La Chiminea; high rock walls and a narrow, steep entrance intimidates all but the most expert skiers and riders - however once inside the chute the rock walls open up, giving way to a steep but straightforward descent...
