Ushuaia - Ski in Argentina

This September CASA Tours heads to the End of the World to visit Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia for a 7 day tour including 5 days of skiing and snowboarding at Cerro Castor and the surrounding mountains.

This tour is based out of the port city of Ushuaia on the shores of the Beagle Channel. Depending on snow and weather conditions backcountry enthusiasts have the option to tour on Glacier Martial, which rises 1000 meters directly above town and looks out toward the passage to Antartica. Cerro Castor ski center offers plenty of inbounds terrain to explore via lifts and often hosts international ski teams gearing up for the next season. Guests also have the option to visit Tierra del Fuego National Park or a take a catamaran and cruise the Beagle Channel.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - ARRIVAL DAY - USHUAIA

Today guests will arrive on their flights from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. We will spend the afternoon orientating ourselves to the town of Ushuaia and getting acquainted with our Tierra del Fuego surroundings. The group will be spending the next 6 evenings based in Ushuaia where we can take advantage of a variety of restaurants and activities.

Days 2-6 - SKI/RIDE CERRO CASTOR

We will spend 5 days based out of the Cerro Castor ski center. Guests will have the opportunity to explore this resort and if snow and weather conditions permit guests have the option to tour the surrounding backcountry mountains including Glacier Martial. The 4 hour ascent of Martial offers stellar views of the Beagle Channel and the passageway to Antarctica. Guests also have an opportunity to visit Tierra del Fuego National Park or take a catamaran cruise on the Beagle Channel. We spend our evenings based in the port of Ushuaia sampling delicious local seafood and local culture. Ushuaia boasts a world-class museum housed in its famous prison building and features historic Antarctic expedition displays.
