The Endless Winter - Ski Tour in Chile
The Endless Winter is CASA Tours’ original itinerary - with over a decade of running this trip, we've got it dialed. For fifteen days, this adventure takes you all the way from Santiago to the winter playgrounds of Pucon and Las Trancas, from the high Andes to the Southern Volcanoes of Chile.
This trip is a complete skiing and snowboarding tour of Chile, a chance to experience the flavor and beauty of the country, including hot springs, active volcanoes, wine tasting, waterfalls, cowboys, fine dining, big city nightlife, beautiful landscapes, and a lot of time on the slopes.
You will come away from this trip with an intimate knowledge of the culture and landscapes of Chile, from the large capital city of Santiago to small, remote mountain villages and wild National Parks. And, you will have ample time to explore the on-piste and backcountry terrain of La Parva, El Colorado, Valle Nevado, Pucon/Villarrica, and Termas de Chillan.
Volcano summit attempts are possible in Pucon/Villarrica, Lonquimay and Nevadosde Chillan with the right weather conditions, allowing you a taste of guided ski-mountaineering on very accessible, but still very wild volcanoes.
Join us for an Endless Winter in the Andes…

Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVE SANTIAGO - CITY TOUR
Arrive Santiago Int’l airport where you will be met by your CASA guides. When scheduling flights, please be sure to arrive before 10am. After getting settled at The Hotel Alto Castello, we will spend the day visiting Santiago’s most famous sites and dining at one of the city’s magnificent restaurants.
Days 2-3 - SKI/RIDE TRES VALLES (VALLE NEVADO AREA)
Hotel Farellones will be home while we spend two days skiing at the tri-resort complex: La Parva, El Colorado and Valle Nevado. Our hotel is complete with a quaint restaurant, bar, and deck overlooking Santiago and the Andes.
Our first day on the slopes we’ll ski at Valle Nevado, the most modern of all the resorts in Chile (it even has a detachable quad!) We can get in some great skiing in the back bowl, Valle Olympico, and if weather and snow conditions permit, ski off the ridge line known as Santa Teresa.
On day 3 we’ll check out our favorite resort in Tres Valles: El Colorado. In the evening we’ll will return to Santiago for a night of celebration at Etniko. This hidden spot in barrio Bellavista would be impossible to find without your CASA guides, but a knock on the unmarked wooden door leads in to one of the hippest spots in Santiago.
Day 4 - TRAVEL TO NEVADOS DE CHILLAN
On day four we journey south to the powder capital of Chile, Termas de Chillan. Along the way we’ll stop for lunch at Miguel Torres winery, where you can stock up on some “supplies” for the trip, or presents for friends / family. After a brief stop in Chillan for dinner, we’ll check in at Cabanas Los Andes in Las Trancas.
Days 5-8 - SKI/RIDE TERMAS DE CHILLAN
We will spend four days staying in the comfort of our CASA casa, Cabañas Los Andes, which makes a perfect base camp while exploring the stellar terrain and backcountry at Termas de Chillan. Termas is known for having the consistently best powder in Chile and is the highlight of all our trips. Options include a guided backcountry tour and/or a climb up to the summit of Volcan Chillan. We will cap our stay in this paradise with a traditional Chilean cookout known as an “asado”, a steak, chicken and sausage BBQ prepared by our Chilean hosts!
Days 9-11 - SKI/RIDE CORRALCO - VOLCAN LONQUIMAY
Located at the base of Volcan Lonquimay, and amongst forests of Araucaria Trees, lies Corralco. Corralco offers expansive volcanic slopes and plenty of backcountry opportunites from ascending the peak to riding the rolling lava flows. Scattered with large conical volcanoes and stands of monkey puzzle trees this region will ignite the imagination with its incredible scenery. A rustic swiss lodge, The Anden Rose, is our home for the next 3 nights.
Days 12-14 - SKI/RIDE PUCON - VILLARRICA
Pucon, an outdoor paradise, offers us access to the Volcano Villarrica, an active volcano where we will spend our days skiing the lava flow terrain, surrounded on all sides by lakes and snow-capped peaks. Our lodgings at Cabañas Ruca-Malal are individual cabins which are warm and comfortable. At the end of the day, we’ll take a short trip out of town to soak our bones in Termas Pozones, clear, odorless, natural hot springs.
Day 15 - RETURN TO SANTIAGO / DEPARTURE
On the morning of Day 15 we will fly from the city of Temuco to Santiago to catch flights for home...unless you’re staying a bit longer.... PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK FLIGHTS TO DEPART AFTER 7PM... nos vemos amigos!
