Day 1:
Driving north approximately 3.5 hours from Chillan you will meet your Santiago Adventures representative in San Fernando. From here we will drive another half hour before arriving in Santa Cruz and the lovely Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza. The rest of the afternoon is your’s to relax at the hotel or visit the Santa Cruz Museum next door, one of the finest private collections of Chilean pre-historic, pre-Colombian and colonial artifacts. Dinner is on your own at one of several options including the local Social Club of Santa Cruz, the hip sushi bar where the winemaker/dj from Viu Manent can regularly be found spinning late night tunes or in the acclaimed restaurant Los Varietals at the hotel.

Day 2:
Our morning will begin with a trek at the Montes winery. Aurelio Montes started the Montes winery with three other Chileans in the late 1980s and their success as quality wine producers is now world famous. Temporarily leaving the world of wine behind us we will experience a unique trek through vegetation that is typical of central Chile on a nature path complete with panoramic vistas. Returning to the winery we will take a tour of the ultra modern structure and taste some of their premium wines. Next we head to Viu Manent, one of the oldest wineries in the valley and well known for producing one of the best Malbecs in South America. Your visit includes a ride through the vineyards by horse drawn carriage with an overview of the terroir of the Colchagua Valley After the tour we will sit down in the beautiful patio gardens of Viu Manent winery and enjoy a relaxed lunch.

Day 3:
Our day will start at 9am with a horseback ride up the hills at Hacienda Lolol. Passing through the native flora & fauna we will have beautiful views of the valley Lolol. After two hours we will arrive in the hilltops and alongside the Hacienda Lolol reservoir with crystalline waters. We will enjoy a wine tasting with wines from the Colchagua Valley and learn the history of the Hacienda.
We will return to the hotel around mid day to pack our bags and start our drive towards Santiago. Along the way we will stop for a typical Chilean lunch. In the late afternoon we will arrive to Santiago and the airport for flights home.
